What do you do with broken appliances?
How often have you had broken appliances which you haven’t been able to fix and have ended up having to throw them away?
A new law, The Right to Repair Law, will be introduced in the UK in Summer 2021 and should help to alleviate this problem.
The Right to Repair Law will state that Manufacturers will be legally obliged to make spare parts for products available to consumers.
This is great news for the war on waste and will help to reduce the approximate 1.5 million tonnes of electrical waste created in the UK every year.
