Christmas Present Alternatives

Christmas Present Alternatives

You may be trying to find a gift that won’t go to waste or perhaps aiming to spend less money this year, here are some Christmas present alternatives.

Buy your loved one a gift experience. Maybe they’ve always wanted to learn to cook, have an adventure or be pampered?

Create your own vouchers with treats and favours they can redeem throughout the year.

Buy pre-loved, saving you money and potentially finding a vintage item that can’t be bought in the shops. Great pre-loved items for children include bikes, plastic toys, soft toys, books and games.

If you normally buy food gifts for your friends and family, why not make your own. How about some delicious biscuits made with their favourite flavours?
Perhaps you have a tin you’ve been previously gifted that you could put them in? Or place a ‘wanted’ ad on websites such as Freecycle.

Instead of giving a plant that only lasts a few weeks, take cuttings of your indoor plants and give them as presents.

Re-gift items you’ve been given and haven’t used.

Upcycle items that can be made into special gifts. For example, by personalising items with their names, favourite flowers, animals or favourite colours.

Give the gift of adopting an animal or a tree. For example, adopt an elephant or tiger with WWF.
